Both teach together very successfully in Germany. With their charming nature, they coquettishly and cheekily dance and teach the new and fresh Cairo style with a lot of charisma as we only know it directly from Cairo.

Emad Abdel Sattar

Emad Abdel Sattar

Emad was born in Egypt; he has a sound standing dance education and performed in numerous 5 star hotels, TV- and video productions. Love made him move to Germany where he became a "victim" of the salsa fever. He will open his own salsa discotheque "Caliente" in Hanover together with his business partner in Spring 2009.

Das Ahlam al Nil Ensemble

Das Ahlam al Nil Ensemble

A display of fireworks of Egyptian folklore with modern influences will be presented to the audience by Nour El Hadi. Nour El Hadi, Emad Abedel Sattar and Saleh Nagah know each other from various show projects in their home country Egypt, where they already performed together. Following their successful productions in Cairo, Hugharda and Sharm el Sheik, they continue their fruitful co-operation in form of spectacular choreographies in Germany.

Jillina (USA)

Her first appearance at the WoO in 2004 already entranced the audience and was received enthusiastically. In the following years, Jillina also became famous as choreographer and dancer of the world-wide touring "Bellydance Superstars". We are very happy that we managed to get this internationally acclaimed star of the Oriental dance scene on board once again for workshops and performances on the occasion of our 10th anniversary.

Lina & Ensemble Nudjum

Lina & Ensemble Nudjum

Lina discovered her love for Oriental Dance at the age of 12, following some experience with sports gymn and acrobatics. Aged 17, she won the 2nd prize at the newcomer festival of the "Orienta" (Frankfurt) in the category "Egyptian-Arabic". The ensemble Nudjum which is under her direction since 2007, was awarded with the first prize in the category "Folklore" at the 2002 international dance festival in Prague.

We are back in 2003: A (still) unknown dance enters the stage at the WoO festival and after only five minutes time it becomes clear that this evening will become magic, mystic and the charm of Cairo takes the audience's breath away. After almost one our Liza LaZiza leaves the stage, accompanied by standing ovations… A star was born. Today, Liza LaZiza is internationally established as a dancer and it is a special honour for us that she will once again present her new show programme from Cairo live at the World of Orient 2009.

Nabila El Sabah

Nabila El Sabah

As a dancer and teacher, Nabila El Sabah is familiar with international stages and is at the same time a well-estimated colleague. Together with Sabine Zaida, she promotes the Orient Festival BAZAR ORIENTAL in Berlin. Additionally, both publish the annual international Oriental magazine "BellyDivas".

The most beautiful flowers bloom in the dark… We are happy to introduce the dancer Naima Nada to you. She runs her own dance studio in Essen since several years and is active as a teacher, dancer and choreographer for more than 15 years already. She will wow you with a Pharaonic performance in a sensational costume.

Nour El Hadi

Nour El Hadi

Nour el Hadi worked together with all stars from the Egyptian dance scene as a professional dancer. He is a specialist for all kinds of Middle-Eastern Dance, e.g. for Raqs Sharqi, Saidi and Tanoura, although he loves Modern Dance most. He therefore likes to combine Modern Dance with elements of the Oriental Dance and with Egyptian folklore and dances to modern Egyptian pop music.

Raaja

Raaja

Raaja is an internationally booked top-class dancer. She has her primary centre of interest in France and has family roots in Morocco. She became famous particularly in Germany through her solo performances in the course of the shows "EL Mashrabia" and "7000 Years of Egypt" under the direction of MOMO KADOUS, where she presented herself as a dancer with a mature, outstanding personality.

Saleh Nagah

Saleh Nagah

Saleh was born in El-Zagazig, El-Sharkia in the East of Egypt. His membership of the folklore group "El-Sharkia" from 1990 to 1998 made him inter-regionally famous. With them he performed in Greece, Turkey, Italy, Hong Kong, Switzerland, China, Syria, Tunisia, Algeria and in many other countries. Since 2005 Saleh lives and works in Stuttgart.
Sayed Balaha (Ägypten)

Sayed Balaha (Ägypten)

This master percussionist from Cairo can look back on sensational 40 years of career in his field. He wrote musical history and published many very successful CDs. But he is also active as a great tabla teacher who likes to share his long-standing knowledge and his experience with others. The music magazine "Rolling Stone" entitled him as "King of the ultimate Oriental Grooves".

Talin

Talin

Being born in Persia, grown up in Iran and in the U.S.A., Talin now lives and works in Berlin together with her husband. She dedicated her love to the classical Raqs Sharqi style and we are very happy to be able to present this recently arrived, interesting colleague for the first time on a big stage in Germany.
